Before performing the test, here are the different steps:

• Sampling on a piece of drilling core according to marks (different levels on the drilling core).
  
• Grind the samples during 5 minutes using mortar and pestle.
• Sieve the powder through a 80/100 mesh (177 or 150 microns).
• Arrange in pillbox without cover and number the samples.
• Drying during 24 hours at 60 ° C maximum (The powdered sediments tend to absorb moisture quickly).
• Weigh the samples.
